CW2 Rich Geraghty
Rich was my mentor. He was the Maverick who was always
cool and calm
when the rest of us were going ballistic. I have remained in
touch with Rich
and am proud to call him my friend. He lives in Houston, Texas
and is a VHPA member.
Check out his profile in the VHPA history book.
Specialist Eddie Adair
Gunner
Maverick 36
This is a shot of SP4 Eddie Adair. Eddie was my door gunner and a
master gunsmith
on the 7.62 mini-gun. I am proud to say that I never once had
a misfire
during my entire tour as aircraft commander on Maverick 36 (Satans
Playmate).
Eddie is entirely responsible for and deserves all the credit for maintaining
those mini-guns in tip top working order. I could always rest
easy, knowing that when
I needed to pull the trigger, they would fire. I'd like to find
Eddie again and also thank
him for all the times he was there for me.
CW2 Pat Tominey (L) and WO1 Jim Spiers
(R), standing outside the
Mavericks hootch on a well deserved day off.
I have lost touch with Pat also, so if anyone know where he is,
please let me know.
Ed Plucinski
Ed Plucinski, what a guy. Ed was another outstanding helicopter pilot.
He was
always a better shot than me and he had a special little smirk that
he displayed
every time I would razz him about it. He also had an 8 mm movie
camera
that he let me borrow. I have some wonderful film from the Mekong
Delta.
Thanks Ed.
