Specialist Andy Anderson
Crew Chief
Maverick 35

SP5 Andy Anderson was the crewchief on Maverick 35 (Snoopy IV).  I owe Andy my life.  His observant eye and resounding voice kept me from loosing control of Snoopy during a scramble when confusion was at its peak.  Andy is another one that I have lost contact with.  I'd really like to thank him properly for that particular incident.

CW2 Joe Mongonia

Joe was one of those kind of people who was always there
with a smile or a joke to break the tension.  He was wounded in a mortar
attack shortly after I joined the Mavericks in 1968 and returned only for
a very short time before his DEROS to the states.  Again, if anyone knows
where Joe is, please let me know.

WO John Hughes

Another outstanding Maverick, John Hughes.  Solid as a rock and without a doubt
the best wingman the Mavericks had during his tour.  He taught me a lot about
covering the fireteam leader and being an effective wingman.  John is a VHPA member.

CW2 Mike Shehan

The Mavericks Maverick.  A fire team leader and superior
pilot.  Mike was the answer man to all us rookies.  He could tell you
anything about the operational arena and how to make it work.
Mike was killed on his second tour after he left the 175th.

I miss him.
